The African Union advocates for the continued success of 55 member nations whose international presences become larger by the day. In accordance with the AU’s mission this
committee will focus on improving stability creating better opportunities for prosperity on the continent. The most lethal foe Africa faces today is the Kivu Ebola epidemic, which has
surpassed 2,000 deaths in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the surrounding region. Another issue preventing the furthering of African society is corruption, which affects every African from the villager to the statesman. This committee aims to find solutions to these issues which take into consideration the complicated political, geographical, and social factors which define modern Africa.
